Son Loves Them

Purchased for my volleyball loving son (high school team & travel team). Previously, he was a Way of Wade wearing player but these shoes have changed his opinion.
Says these are lighter, more support, and more flexible.

Very nice

The HyperAce Zoom/SE is our "go to" VB shoe - we've tried others and they don't really hold up as well as these.
The toe box is secure and wears well, heel lock stays nice and firm after even 3-4 months of use. The mid-sole is comfortable, and the EVA foam for the midsole doesn't seem to break down too quickly. The heel drop is high enough to encourage correct attack form, and the shank allows enough flex without being overly stiff. The upper is well made and sewn, and we've never had a rip or seam seperation. After having 8-10 sets of this shoe the only issue we've ever encountered is some glue seperation at the front of the toe box, easily remedied with a dab of super glue.

We do use a shoe dryer after every use, so that helps maintain the EVA foam and the fit of the shoe.
This is a pure VB shoe - fashioned and formed with the correct tech to facilitate my MH/OH jumping over 800 times a week.

We go through appx 4-5 pair of shoes a year. We tried Asics, Miz, Adidas, etc (all VB specific) and the Nike is (for us) the best on the market.
Compared to Avoli - which we also really like - it's a toss up. The Avolis have some nice features as well, but the HyperAce is the gold standard.

We even tried a pair of LeBrons - which after 4 weeks of use, have a hole in the toe box, the heel lock is loose, and the EVA is already breaking down.
We had the same issue with the U of O themed 'Brinas - I think she got 3 weeks out of those. Fashionable? Maybe. Good for our player? Nope. Basketball shoes are an absolute no go for us moving forward. Nike has taken the time to create a specific shoe, designed for VB - don't settle when it comes to shoes.

These should last a full season of HS ball (3-4 months/daily play/weekend tournys) and some may be able to get a little longer. We choose to replace every 10-12 weeks.

Overall - it's the best VB shoe on the market.
