I purchased both Molten Flistatec V5M5000 (Blue - USAV) & (Green). Showing picture of the ones I practice with the kids at home. Blue USAV is the one we currently take to the gymnasium.
Left one is the official ball purchased on all volleyball, right one is a replica (claiming to be official) purchased on Amazon. I thought everything was legit until within 3 months I notice the ball warping or wobbling in the air during a serve, I reached out to Amazon seller and they told me to claim with the manufacture. As I did that, I discovered the ball was not real. I asked them who the authorize retailer are and allvolleyball was one they mentioned. There was also a slight weight difference with the official ball being heavier.
Started volleyball a year ago with my daughter after she didn’t make tryouts to prepare her. Invest in good quality, I initially got a Wilson at a Fred Meyer to learn with her. They will acclimate to the ball, I started to play in a rec league and started to coach kids as well. Why I chose this ball was because the everyone I. The league used this ball so I had to get used to it. I remember the first time making contact with the ball, it felt heavy, dense, and hurt like heck. After getting used to it, my 13 year old likes this ball vs the super light they used during school games, I just remind her to adjust her hitting power when using the different balls.
Great quality, been about 6 months using the ball, only at indoor gyms and still in great condition. I have to be that person to remind others to not kick the ball either.
Ball feeling is unique and pleasant, not too smooth and slippery, feels like you have more control on the passing and setting. Good ball response on the serve and hitting.
