Q: Why are these shoes called "Dame"? Are they named after someone? Are these actually volleyball shoes or they are shoes that can be used for volleyball? When/what year did these shoes come on the market?

A: Adidas named them "Dame" after Damian Lillard. These are indoor court shoes, originally designed for basketball, but due to popularity and high demand, volleyball players enjoy using them as well. The Dame 8 is the newest model. They were released in January 2021.
