Staff reviews powered by Our TeamThe Asics ZD1739 Setter Knee Pad is a great knee pad for a practical player. Don’t let the name fool you; these can be for any player, not just a setter. I love the way these conform to my knee as well as being a low profile knee pad. With the indentations on the pad, the padding is able to bend and flex in certain places to fit the shape of my knee and not just be a padded blob. They also come in black or white, but I much prefer black because then it does not show dirt.
I also love the padding on the side that these pads offer. I am referring to the small padded area with the ASICS logo on it. That is made to fit the outer part of your left or right knee so that if you dive or fall on the side of the knee, there is a padded part there to keep you protected and not just a piece of fabric. This feature is perfect for any defense player who has to dive left and right all game long.
If these knee pads are not right for you, I also highly recommend the Mizuno LR6 Knee Pads. These are a great low profile knee pad, but there is just a bit more fabric top to bottom and they are great to mold around the shape of your knee as well. Another option is the Under Armour Volleyball Knee Pads. These, too, are great low profile knee pads which I personally played in for the majority of my high school career and loved them!
